Jekyll Island Georgia
One of Georgia's Golden Isles!

Jekyll Island Club

Jekyll Island, located on Georgia's southeastern coast, is a favorite Southeast Georgia vacation spot. It is one of the barrier islands that are collectively known as Georgia's Golden Isles. Jekyll Island has 8 miles of beaches, 20 miles of hiking trails and 7 miles of walking or biking trails. Wildlife including reptiles, mammals and birds live and breed in the island's inland marshes.

Jekyll Island Club, a former hunting retreat that opened in 1888, is one of the island's most popular spots. Once a retreat for the wealthiest members of American Society, it was frequented by Morgan, Pulitzer, Rockefeller and Vanderbilt. Today it is a luxury resort and a member of the Historic Hotels of America.
